The 2025-2026 school year will kick-off with 34 schools receiving their Civic Learning Award in September (Constitution Month)

Ventura (1) Who Will Deliver? School location details are now posted here on Courts Connected. If you are available to present the award, reply to this post or email judicialoutreach@jud.ca.gov Events vary from show-and-tell presentations, to assemblies, to Q&A in the school library. Some events include a swearing in of the school's newly elected student council. Visits are typically scheduled for one hour. Awards of Excellence are presented by the Chief Justice, however judicial officers are invited to join the celebration. Dates of her visits are on the Courts Connected link. Awards of Distinction traditionally are presented by a Court of Appeal justice, and the Awards of Merit and Honorable Mentions are presented by the Superior Court. But overall, we invite everyone. For those who step forward, POD will help prepare you for the big day! The photos below may inspire you to plan now for one hour this September.
