Tips for Planning Your Visit
Welcome to the new Lesson Library for Judges in the Classroom. This collection serves as a library for lessons and other materials from the Judges in the Classroom collection.
Every visit includes a lesson on the three branches of government. Every student who meets a judge through this program will know about the three equal branches, with emphasis on the judicial branch. You may use the resources in the library to prepare students, leaving more time for them to talk to the judge about the topic or their work as a judge.
Most lessons take 45-50 minutes, leaving time for Q&A. If you want the judge to spend more time on the requested topic, prepare your class in advance by sharing the resources posted with each lesson.
Note:
Presentations are not posted online for teachers because many volunteers use their own preferred version of the lesson.
